Go on. .. You'll be fine. And hair does have an uncanny knack of growing back!!! I had mine cropped really short from shoulder length. Such a massive difference. Even the hairdresser was amazed (actually a few of them came over to coo!!) She said I looked loads younger (yes she got a HUGE tip!!!)
Good Luck.

Not terribly sure about it tbh

Not at all what I expected

So what is it like? you said today was the day, did you go though with it?

KatyMac · 08/02/2008 08:30

Like the back - but it's very ordinary

Don't like the front it's puffy & bubble & smooth - I'll never do it again

describe....

KatyMac · 08/02/2008 08:43

The front is smooth and puffy & about 3/4 inches long turning under

The back flicks out - which is OK & the rest is just ruffled - she brushed it straight but it hasn't lasted

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 08/02/2008 08:44

Puffy..do you mean a bob that has been curled under?

KatyMac · 08/02/2008 08:45

Yes - but that's only the top bit - round my ears it's just straight and longer

It's all different lengths

OP posts:
KatyMac · 08/02/2008 08:58

like this

& ba bit like this?

Dropdeadfred · 08/02/2008 09:06

Right, I see.
Don't worry about the puffiness that's just the effect of blowdrying. With a style like that the way you dry it really can change the whole look. Get yourself some wax if you don't have any. If you don't like it puffy then rough dry it and seperate out a fe pieces round the front ith wax. You could always tuck it behind your ears too if there are side bits that are annoying..it will grow on you (scuse the pun)!!

chrissnow · 08/02/2008 09:35

That's how I'd like my hair to look!! Def. second the wax advice.
It really is a lovely versatile style. Keep playing with it. It'll grow on you.

KatyMac · 08/02/2008 09:42

?

I don't do products or blow drying which I told her

KatyMac · 08/02/2008 10:27

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 08/02/2008 10:39

Did you have it coloured at all?
I think it'san improvement but you really do NEED produt on hair like yours (curly) to tame it

KatyMac · 08/02/2008 10:55

Dyed & highlighted

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 08/02/2008 10:57

Hmmm..maybe it's the pic but I can't really notice the colour difference, sorry.

KatyMac · 08/02/2008 10:59

There isn't a cloour difference just no grey & the highlights are great - everyone likes them

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 08/02/2008 11:08

oh good

chrissnow · 08/02/2008 11:10

Yes certainly an improvement. Takes years off you and suits your glasses much more. Get going with the products!! Waxes and serums are sooooo easy once you're used to them. I'm not much of a blowdryer and 'faffer' with my hair, but just 'wiggling' some wax through breaks up bulky hair and looks fab.

Pimmpom · 08/02/2008 15:20

I thought you were going to be blonde after looking at those links.

Another vote for wax will be very good for your type of hair.

Looks better shorter

cinnamontam · 09/02/2008 11:07

I like it. Makes you look much younger than with longer hair

KatyMac · 09/02/2008 11:08

Well it just looks middle aged curly now I have washed it
