High waisted jeans or skirt - cropped top

I have a cropped peplum top I love but no idea what to wear with it.

The peplum means I’m not flashing midriff but it hits at the waistband of my jeans, meaning I have the frill of the peplum, then waistband and belt loops etc looking really fussy and messy.

I think I need very high waisted jeans or skirt so that the peplum frill covers the waistband.

I hope this makes sense! Any suggestions please?
