Hoping for some help from you style icons!

I turn 30 next month, and after 2 kids (youngest turns 1 a few days after my birthday) I'm not looking how I'd like. It's a work in progress but realistically I know I won't have the figure I want in a month so I'm turning my efforts to finding something to flatter the figure I do have so I can look and feel the best I can, only I'm not used to shopping for this figure!!

I'm around a 14/16 on top and 16/18 on bottom, I have a fairly decent waist but carry most of my weight on my tummy (new since kids!)/hips/thighs so it can be hard to show off my waist without also highlighting my new mumtum. No idea what bra size I am after breastfeeding now but I have a decent clevage with a good bra if that makes a difference!

I don't want to spend hundreds as I'm hoping my weightloss will continue but would go up to £100 for the right outfit. Typical party, function room/buffet/band etc so want to look 'dressed up' but it's not a formal affair!

I'm blonde and quite pale so tend to go for cooler colours rather than anything warm.

Any suggestions to help me look less frumpy hugely appreciated, I haven't bought myself clothes other than basic jeans/tops for years and I've got no idea where to even look anymore! 😭

Have you seen Scarlett and Jo on John Lewis? I hadn’t heard of them until recently. They seem nice and well priced.

On your point about changing your shape in a month, last summer I did a bit of pre holiday exercise at home with a kettlebell, maybe 10 mins (you tube vid) every other day and made sure I did walking etc. Whilst it didn’t turn me into a beach babe I could see the change in my upper body and made me feel lots happier.

I hadn't heard of them but just had a look and they have some lovely stuff! I quite like this, looks like it would be quite forgiving in all the right places with the rouching but still looks special!

Good tips on the exercise, I'm doing a little bit every day so hopefully like you l'll see more improvement than I'm expecting!!

Wow, I hadn’t even seen that one. I’m pretty boobless so my eye was drawn to other styles, but if I had them I’d buy that dress!
