Holy grail - alternative to gels

Gels look amazing but ruin my nails.

I need a really good long lasting and easy to apply nail varnish for hands and toes.

I like Rimmel 60 seconds and opi and Jessica but want something that will look closer to gels, like what method? Always base/top coat? Which brand???

You can get gel top coats. I think the one I have from Jessica is pretty good. It's not quite the same appearance as gel but it gets some way there.

M&S gel nail varnish looks like salon gel, if applied and coated with Seche Vite I find it lasts a bit longer than other brands...not that anything lasts long on my nails apart from gels from the salon.

Watching with interest. Had gels for the last few months and now my nails are trashed and I hate the removal process. So had gels removed and spent ££ on a normal manicure. Yesterday. It’s already chipped on one nail today. So that’s £40 down the drain. I’m about to give up on my nails and just go back to bare.
