Large Tote - Coach Willow, Tory Burch Perry or Kate Spade All Day?

Looking for a new mid range work bag. Has to be black in order not to clash with what I wear. Not keen on satchels or backpack styles so have settled on a tote. I like a big size, and structured, as I need to fit in a laptop and a4 pads and folders as well as the usual phone, keys etc. I am tall and broad so can carry off a big bag.

So far I have a short list of the Willow by Coach, the 3 compartment Perry by Tory Burch and the Kate Spade All Day Tote. There's nowhere I can go to see all 3 in person next to each other, so are there any wise words or other bags that might meet my requirements? Does anyone have experience of fitting all of these things inside one of these bags, know which one is biggest etc? Thank you!

a colleague has the Tory Burch bag in tan and I always admire it, she does seem to carry everything. This is not all that helpful a review other than it looks gorgeous!

Coach always gets my vote as they use very good leather and they are absolute workhorse bags which never seems to age.

You don't live near Bicester Village do you? They have all three.
I got the Kate Spade All Day in large yesterday, took it to work for the first time today and loved how I could chuck my laptop, A4 notebook & A4 file plus some papers in it at the end of the day rather than carefully place them in. It's quite narrow so my water bottle & umbrella wouldn't fit but I'll always have a handbag with me too so that doesn't matter.
I didn't particularly like the Coach bags in the Tote style. Not sure why.
I do like the Tory Burch but the price point between the two was significant (I got the Kate Spade in khaki) and I've got my eye on a smaller Tory Burch for my birthday in a few weeks and didn't particularly want to have two bags of the same brand.

I have the Furla Nero, I know it’s not one you’ve mentioned but it’s big and fits everything so just another suggestion for you.

Tori Burch leather is really, really good quality.

I have some higher end ( Dior etc ) and it's comparable quality so I'd go for TB every time.

Thanks all. Hmmm, hard decision! I must say I do really like the Tory Burch as it seems very sturdy and well structured. But the price is putting me off. I could get the Coach or Kate Spade for £100+ less. It's putting me off, unless I can justify that the quality and look in person really is better. I don't live near enough to Bicester to warrant a visit unfortunately.

I have the Kate Spade. It's a lovely shape and holds it well. The handles are quite narrow. I have a smaller Willow bag which is lovely but imo a bigger one wouldn't hold its shape. I also have a Coach day tote which is very floppy but the handles are wider than the Kate spade. Don't know the Tory Burch. Also, Coach will clean your bags for you for free for life. I always have one cleaned when I go to Bluewater.

Thanks again everyone. Those with the Kate Spade All Day Tote, does it easily fit a laptop, cables and A4 notebooks etc with room for a phone, keys and the usual 'bits'? I think I am leaving more towards the Kate Spade now but worrying it might to be too small.

Thank you, I really like that so have added it to the list 😆The dimensions are broadly the same as the others, hence my concern they might not be quite big enough.

My Kate Spade would fit all that. I use see through pouch/es for little bits and it's got a separate pouch, anyway, that you could put your wires in.

Cheaper but much admired by my friends, I have 2 gorgeous leather ted baker totes - one in black & one in white.
Hold everything. No large logos, nice leather. Lovely.

as a gift for a friend beginning a new job. I was so impressed when it arrived - just really beautifully made, and would go with anything.
I also like the Tory, which is similar quality. The quality of the Kate Spade one isn't nearly as good.

Kate Spade made the decision for me today, because they put the black All Day Large Tote in their sale. Got it at 50% off, £124, online. Very happy! I would love the Tory Burch but can't justify the price. I'll make sure I look out for Tory Burch sales in the future. I love Coach but already have a smaller black Coach work bag, so it's nice to have a different brand.

That's the one I've got, but in olive! I'm really happy with mine. Imo it's better than the Coach for my particular purposes.

Yes I have one for work and it fits everything in it. The little pouch thing is handy too.
