Nail Polish Help, Please!

Can I have your tips for putting nail polish on so it looks nice and smooth and there are no extraneous splodges on the skin. I really am hopeless at it.

go round your nails after with a cotton bud soaked in nailpolish remover, thats what I always do.
Or have a shape and polish done if you can afford it. Pretty cheap round here about £9-12

Don't overload the brush with polish

do a line down the middle of your nail, then a line either side (line up the edge of the bush, as best you can, with teh outside of your nail rather than the "line" you have already drawn on your nail

Oh grief, don't give dh ideas re the gem, Fio!! He did get rather a shock when someone here asked him if we wanted to go for a Brazilian, but it turned out to be a barbecue, not a depilatory event.
