Which shoes with wide leg trousers? With link

I’ve just got these through the door:

www.boden.co.uk/en-gb/hampshire-jersey-trousers-navy-petal-paisley/sty-t0266-nvy

and they’re much nicer in the flesh than I expected. Very flattering and thick material that hangs well. I’ll be wearing them to work with a dark slim fitting polo neck or crew neck jumper but not sure what shoes/boots would go? They’re quite long on me so would benefit a slight heel. What would you wear? I can’t wear trainers at work unfortunately.

I'd wear with some sort of pointed toe shoes

Oh I don’t own any @Moonpies - do you mean flat pump style with a point or pointed boots? Link welcome!

Would white leather trainers be too casual for your office?

if you look at the pics of one the other available colours, they also look nice with mid-heel bots

NegroniLover · 05/01/2023 17:42

I think you could go with a subtle nod to.70s retro - have a look at BA&SH Shelbie boots & if not those then boots of that style. Block heel & slightly platform

NegroniLover · 05/01/2023 17:44

Sorry autocorrect - they're called Chebie

LadyLolaRuben · 05/01/2023 17:51

Wedges

Purplecatshopaholic · 05/01/2023 17:59

I would wear those with heeled ankle boots

Batterseabunny · 05/01/2023 18:11

@Summerof22 I will definitely wear them out of work with my white trainers but sadly I don’t think I can get away with it at work - teacher and there is a strict dress code in my school.

@NegroniLover the paisley pattern is even more 70s looking in real life so that could work!

Thanks everyone. I don’t have wedges but have heeled boots I will try.

I like long wide legged look with pointy toe shoes like in attached pics. Depends on your budget, how much heel, ankle boot etc lot of choice.

I've just bought those - primary teacher so will wear with Converse for work I imagine. Could probably get away with trainers. Sciatica may as well have a use!
