Any recommendations for orthodontists who'll make a new retainer by post?!

Rather random question I know! I had my teeth straightened and wear a retainer at night to stop them moving back. The retainer has recently broken so I need to get a new one made.

Rather than going in to have a mould made of my teeth as they are, I want to send off the mould that I had done last time and have the retainer made from that. That being the case, I could use any orthodontist in the country that offers this service. I live in the southeast so the ones around here are particularly expensive. If anyone could recommend an orthodontist in Britain that offers this service at a reasonable price, and makes good quality retainers, I'd be super grateful!

I recently saw people on Etsy selling this -although I think it was to send you stuff to make a mould, you send it back and they send you a new retainer. But the clear plastic type retainer I think.

I imagine you would need to have a new impression tbh. DS only had his retainer made 2 years ago and can no longer wear his retainer as his teeth have shifted.

I’m hanging out for responses because DS did have a new impression made at the orthodontist and they’ve done him one of the plastic type, rather than the pink plate and wire type and he can’t wear it. We do have his new impression.

I’ve just had a look.
they do the clear type and the plastic and wire type but that is £160. The orthodontist charges £120 for an impression and retainer.

Hi there, thank you for the replies. I just need the clear plastic type.

Thanks so much for the link - amazingly good value at £44.99, when it would cost loads more than that to have an orthodontist make it.
