Teen Acne-Eczema Prone cosmetic dermatologist recommendations

Hello everyone :)

I have a 13 year old son who is of mixed heritage. But is having some bouts of mild acne but is suffering from hyperpigmentation which are progressing getting worse. The issue is that he has Eczema prone skin so I am hesitant to use harsh exfoliants (i.e., salicylic acid). I trialed Mandelic acid (as this is a mild exfoliant) but stopped as I want sure. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a dermatologist, who offers treatments/facials and can advise me on what products to use for my son.

So far, this is my sons routine (oh and his always not consistent):

Morning routine

CeraVe Hydrating cleanser
Cetaphil body lotion (he use for face)
Green people sunscreen.

Evening routine
CeraVe hydrating cleanser
Niacin-amide
Cetaphil body lotion.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can just go to a GP and get a prescription for the acne. If the GP isn’t knowledgeable about hyper-pigmentation, they’ll refer him on to a dermatologist.

@Onnabugeisha thanks but I will order to go somewhere private. The waiting list to see a Derm is going to take a long time.

Have you get an ipl place near you ? It's light therapy but might do the trick only about £40 a session round here ie Greater Manchester.
