I also bought a couple of dresses that looked great online but old ladyish in reality. The sizing is very generous.

I love their cropped trousers. I've also got a few dresses which are good quality.

However, I'm.mid 50s and not super trendy!

I almost got drummed out of S&B for mentioning Roman last year. I still think they have their place

Deathraystare · 04/01/2023 09:13

I love their stuff but unlike the lady who detests polyester, I don't mind it. It is Viscose that I hate. Not at all breathable on me. I sweat in it like a p.i.g. Last time I looked in a Roman shop there was plenty of viscose unfortunately.

I agree it’s a bit hit and miss but I do like their cropped pants and shorts.
I do acknowledge now I’m getting old 😀that I’m shopping their.

I really like them. There's a branch near me too so if I like it online I go and have a feel! I've had a lovely fluffy cardigan from there and it's 3 years old and good as news. I've also had some very comfy stretch jersey type dresses. I like them because they do dresses with sleeves and I hate my arms. There's usually something I'd buy although I often wait for the sale.

The are good for linen trousers in the summer as they do different lengths but that's all I buy from them so can't comment on anything else.

MistyRock · 04/01/2023 12:41

I've been looking in their site alot lately and I'm tempted by a few things. Having read the majority saying they are good quality I think I'm going to go for it.

Iamnotausername · 04/01/2023 13:00

🤣 There is a shop by me but I've always just walked past it as the stuff in the window has always looked a bit... frumpy. Maybe I'll have a look next time.

No offence to anyone who shops there. I'm hardly a style icon.

Blossomtoes · 04/01/2023 13:13

I bought a navy faux fur jacket there a couple of years ago. It’s great quality and I’ve never worn it without getting at least one compliment.

Exactly the same for me. Crops and dresses.

Very much like most clothing companies, the odd gem, some good basics, designed for lumps and bumps, washes well and always worth searching for a voucher code on line, which helps price wise. I have a couple of jumpers, a denim jacket in pink, great sequin skirt from a few years back and still going strong and band on trend and, more recently, purchased a burgundy faux sheepskin flying jacket (which fits brilliantly, made very well, and is a dupe of one from Phase Eight for a third of the price!). Still have a shop in Basingstoke but I've found a better selection online and they are quick to refund too.

TollgateDebs · 04/01/2023 13:30

@Iamnotausername the shops don't display the clothing well and it often tends to be packed in, so understand walking past.

GordonShakespearedoesChristmas · 04/01/2023 14:07

There's one in Nottm and at McArthur Glen Mansfield.

TwoMonthsOff · 14/01/2023 11:54

@Alleycat12
hi OP did you get anything in the end, I have just had delivered (ordered yesterday lunchtime) two long jumpers for work, really pleased with them and got 20% off total order and free shipping, and they were both reduced in sale.
