perhaps in a post-modern ironic way?
and does this still apply to underwear?

I saw a girl in leopard print jacket and tight jeans with flats the other day and she looked amazing, though I suspect she would have looked quite good in a duffle too.

suzycreamcheese · 03/02/2008 16:46

i have jpg leopard print jacket...from my tokyo night clubbing days ... about 15 years old now!

right here right now (unless striving for bet lynch image) i'd say NO...

i think animal prints are back in fashion are they not?

although i fear you need to be super skinny and very "on trend" to get away with it.

as for underwear....men are pretty useless fashion wise and just love sexy undies to look cheap and tacky, therefore yes animal print is good

MrsBadger · 03/02/2008 16:50

ONLY underwear

we were away for the weekend and I made a special excursion to run amok in the H&M nursing bra dept

it was comfy and slinky and fitted properly and had matching knickers

dh fell about laughing and made me return it

I am Bitter.

In or out of fashion is always hooker chic IMHO.

Maidamess · 03/02/2008 18:13

I have a fab leopard trench coat and I feel great whenever I wear it. So there.

ManxMum · 03/02/2008 18:38

Animal prints only look good on animals

brimfull · 03/02/2008 18:41

I have fab leopard print killer heels...I love them although never go anywhere that I can wear them.

Dd has lovely leopard print ballet pumps.

In small doses I think it's nice.

Not keen on zebra though.

OverMyDeadBody · 03/02/2008 18:45

Personally I'd never wear it, it's just not my style!

dividedselfridgesxmaswindow · 03/02/2008 18:47

I, um, actually, er have a cropped furry jacket thing in leopard print. I thought it looked nicely ironic with skinny black jeans. ooooopsssss!

Maidamess · 03/02/2008 18:48

Hey, divided! Us Leopard print gals have got to stick together! These ladies don't know what they are on about

I think if you are impeccably turned out in all other respects with a bit of slutty Kate Moss smudgedy eye liner and bitten rosy lips then it looks cool. I am now wondering if I have the balls to wear said jacket again before Summer!

TaLcYonHerTodd · 03/02/2008 18:56

i have a leopard spot dressing gown.
Tis darn sexy.

knpeppa · 03/02/2008 20:12

It's fine in small doses. It can really liven up something grey, black or brown. I have leopard gloves, scarves and a hat, and funnily enough a nursing bra too! I used to have a leopard cardi which I loved, but the moths ate it and I've never found another quite as nice, they all tend to look a bit tacky. I do quite like leopard shoes, but they need to be flat, not high heeled or they do look tarty.
