Best way to organise make up, storage ideas needed

So at the moment all my make up is in a bedroom drawer .

I did get some canvas drawer organisers, but they aren’t really for make up and it’s not really organising it .

I have lipsticks, foundations, primer, powder, some nail polish, perfume , eyeshadow etc . And then I end up buying say a lipstick and then finding I already have something similar as it’s so messy in the drawer .

I have seen table top organisers but the problem is 1) they aren’t big enough and 2) I don’t have a dressing table.

I could perhaps use the top of my drawers , make some room. But I’d like it to be closed type of storage, not open as it’s not like a dressing table and things would need to be not loose.

any ideas ?

I bought a large makeup case that has clear bags inside that stick down and can be removed (similar to the pic here). I put all the lipsticks in one bag, all my eye makeup in another, one for nail varnishes etc.

it’s big but it keeps everything in one place as I found I had stuff everywhere and could never find anything!

Honestly I have this;

Sectioned easy to resize. Fits in a drawer, can be closed up. Lipsticks can be organised standing up. And it's cheap as chips and easy to clean (I even Chuck in dishwasher).

I’d start by separating your makeup in terms of the seasons for example autumn/winter and spring/summer then store the makeup you aren’t using away until the appropriate season comes around. Keep out the staples like mascara and primer and whatever else. in lieu of a fancy organiser get some zip lock bags and store your makeup in them via categories like eyeshadows etc and then keep them in your draw as you are doing now just more organised.

Thanks. I’m either going with something that will fit in the drawer or can be tidy looking on top of it. That looks like an idea, need to check out sizes . Have quite a lot of stuff !

I do need to sort through , I’m sure I have duplicates and also stuff I’m never going to use but keep just in case.

my make up isn’t seasonal really, don’t tan or use fake tan . Always pale ! But some things are more special occasion, so could separate them.

I like things to be quick to hand so I have all my brushes in a pot, pencils/tube things in another pot. I have acrylic drawers which have eyeshadows, primer, etc stuff I don't wear everyday. The stuff I use daily is in a clear makeup bag.

I’d like that. But limited space. It’s either in a drawer or everything contained in one thing on top of chest of drawers . I’d love to have a dressing table , but sadly it’s a small top of. Chest of drawers !
