Tubing mascara

Hi all. I have been buying Blinc tubing mascara from a beauty site on the internet. It’s the best ever with no smudging and gives me longer, prettier lashes. BUT it works out ( with postage) around £25!!!! Can anyone recommend a cheaper but just as good version??? I just cant afford that amount any more 😞

Cheap and cheerful Rimmel Scandaleyes Reloaded is my budget go to. When I'm feeling rich I pay the import fees for the Mirenesse version which is my absolute fave; never-ever smudges

Max Factor Masterpiece in the gold tube. I have tried sooo many mascaras over the years … and this one ticks every box.

I'm an Hourglass convert - is the best mascara I've ever used. Interestingly it seems to be lasting a long time and not drying out at all.

I always used Mac extended play - no smudging and easy to remove (much easier than the Clinique version). However, I’ve just discovered the No 7 one, which gives beautiful defined lashes, doesn’t smudge and cleans off easily but is much cheaper than either of the other two.

I used to love the L'Oreal dual red tube (discontinued several years ago), I've swapped to L'Oreal's Air Volume Mega Waterproof Mascara (£10.99 at Boots, www.boots.com/loreal-paris-air-mega-volume-mascara-black-waterproof-9ml-10291590) - it doesn't specifically say in the description that it's tubing, but it is. Not huge volume, but really good staying power.

Ha! I bought the Man’ High Life. It was OK but… then having a clear out I found a brand new Blinc I’d put away after ordering some time ago. I have to say this Blinc is better for lash length and staying power. Back to pretty eyes for now. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

I buy it when it’s on offer (regularly 30-40% off) and it works out about £12 a tube all in.

@OnceAgainWithFeeling I would like to try this as it looks great on you. Could you tell me where your purchase it from please as it is £40 on Amazon 😳

OnceAgainWithFeeling · 13/01/2023 10:31

From MCo direct. It’s gets sent from Australia.

I buy £130 (customs limit) worth using 30-40% off deals. Got 10 for 147 USD at the end of last year. Worked out at about £13 delivered.

@slipperhopper is it the Stay Perfect you're using or the Stay Perfect Ultra? I've realised I've accidentally bought the latter (gold tube), and whilst it looks great on (very voluminous) I don't think it can be tubing - nothing comes off when you wash it! It sort of just disappears but doesn't come off in tubes at all, and it feels like it's not doing my lashes any good 😳 I'm really annoyed!!

Is the Rimmel one tubing?

I’ve got the Stay Perfect. Thanks for the tip-off about the Ultra version

MrsPetty · 13/01/2023 20:11

Lol! I didn’t even know what ‘tubing’ was! I thought it meant it came in a tube - so probably not. But I like it anyway. Maybe I’ll find a tubing one to try now 😊

It’s not hard to tell. Tubing mascaras come off with hot water. They won’t respond to eye make up remover like normal waterproof mascaras.

Mmm I have the Kevin Aucoin and I wouldn’t place it in 1st place - it’s only good if you want a very natural look and not that buildable. Beautiful metal packaging tho 🤔

Shmithecat2 · 13/01/2023 23:43

I've tried - Kevin Aucoin - was OK, nothing special.
Clinical - was OK, nothing special.
No.7 - bloody awful. Crispy and flaky.

L'Oréal Double Extension beauty tubes in (red and white) was the best ever but its been discontinued 😭. I'll try some suggestions on this thread.

goldennotyetoldie · 13/01/2023 23:56

What is tubing mascara ?

OnceAgainWithFeeling · 14/01/2023 08:37

The when the mascara sets it makes a little tube around your lashes rather than being a waxy paint that’s dried on them.
