Call off the search! I have found the solution to my wild hair

Left to its own devices, my hair behaves like an absolute dick. Some of it is straight, some is ringletty. Mostly, it's fluffy, wavy and turns into a privet hedge at the first hint of moisture. It's also really thick. Over the years I have tried every product, technique and gadget, and nothing really worked. Every morning involved blow drying it till it looked like a cloud and then attacking it with the straighteners, and still it never really looked polished, unless I spent well over an hour. Keratin (aka Brazilian blow dry) every 6 months or so helped a lot but still it was unruly.

Not any more.

I have bought (refurbished, so much cheaper), a Dyson Airwrap styler. The 1st one I bought was faulty and they replaced it with a different refurbished one, and this one came in the carry case. I think it's brand new. Anyway, I digress.

With the firm brush tool my wild hair now goes from soaking wet to totally straight and smooth in under 10 minutes. It is shiny and soft and doesn't even go berserk on wet days. It stays perfect all day and it has never looked so good.

I've barely used the other attachments yet (but I will). The brush alone is a game changer.

Perhaps I love it too much, but if your hair has spent all its life behaving like mine, you'll understand.

Happy Christmas! You're welcome.

I meant to add that I heard that the Shark Flexstyle is as good, but it was out of stock everywhere when I went looking. A refurbished Dyson is a similar price to a new Shark.

I have the same hair, and find the Revlon brush thing good. Can't stretch to a Dyson at the mo.
