Sorry guys I know it’s Christmas and it’s possibly the last thing anyone can think of.

I have I suspect a mild form of IBS and I shower twice a day but when I have an attack I need to freshen up 🙈🙈 when not at home.

is there anything anyone has tried in these emergency situations. I bought some from Amazon and the itch was horrendous.

To be clear, this is not to replace personal hygiene, it’s for emergencies 😬

thank you

Try femfresh or Andrex wipes.

Giggorata · 25/12/2022 11:48

Unscented baby wipes?

starsinyourpies · 25/12/2022 11:48

Water wipes baby wipes?

JackieDaws · 25/12/2022 11:48

Sorry, you can get the Andrex ones in the toilet roll aisle of most supermarkets, and femfresh wipes are usually in the sanpro aisles in supermarkets and Boots/superdrug.

Pandorapitstop · 25/12/2022 11:52

Another vote for Femfresh wipes, and I react easily to anything that’s not suited to sensitive intimate skin. Or water baby wipes.

babynoname22 · 25/12/2022 11:55

Cheeky wipes reusable 100%

Pelo22 · 25/12/2022 12:42

Huggies pure baby wipes are fine for me and you can get a big box off Amazon for about £8
99% water and no scent

Blingismything · 25/12/2022 14:11

A tiny bottle of baby lotion and cotton wool squares.

Amberamethyst · 25/12/2022 14:12

Genius! Two kids later and I’ve never thought of water wipes 😬

Unfragranced baby wipes. Get some nappy bags to put them in afterwards and bin or put in the sanitary bin.

JackGrealishsLegs · 25/12/2022 14:46

Wype gel, fits in your bag and nothing to dispose of until the bottle is empty.

DameCelia · 25/12/2022 15:19

Wype gel
I have the same issue as you and it's a game changer

TinselSniffer · 25/12/2022 15:29

You know what, I think you can't get much better than a lovely damp flannel for sore bits. They're cheap enough to buy lots and just pop them in the wash after use. Eco friendly too and won't block your pipes!

Germolenequeen · 25/12/2022 15:36

At home I keep a Carex soap bottle by the loo - add water to the last dregs of soap then dampen loo paper with it - works a treat.
Out and about that Wype gel looks like it could be very useful 🙂

Shlomping1234 · 25/12/2022 15:51

Lidls sensitive baby wipes. I've got IBS and piles that would make a baboon jealous and they're the only ones I can use.

Wowzel · 25/12/2022 15:55

Cheeky wipes- they come with a bag to take them out with. The bamboo ones are lovely

purpledalmation · 25/12/2022 16:21

Andrex ones are supposed to be flushable, which I don't think the baby wipes are?

babybabybabyblue · 25/12/2022 17:11

I have water wipes, but I don't think that they are flushable.....from a fellow IBS sufferer.

I feel your pain....😟

It's probably not a good idea to flush any wipes, even the ones claiming to be flushable often aren't, especially if you need more than one.

SiobhanSharpe · 25/12/2022 17:17

I have the Femfresh wipes for sensitive skin for general cleaning up when out and about.
At home we have a 'shower/washlet' toilet -- expensive but really good if you don't have room for a separate bidet.

SleekMamma · 27/12/2022 00:57

You can make your own spray. 2/3 witch hazel and 1/3 liquid glycerine. A few drops of an essential oil.
Put in a mini spray bottle. Spray onto regular loo roll. No nasty wipes.

Tippexy · 27/12/2022 01:08

Any supermarket/Andrex toilet wipes, as long as they are unscented and have the Fine to Flush logo Xmas Smile

Yes, Andrex ones are Fine to Flush Xmas Smile

Itisbetter · 27/12/2022 01:14

Just use a bottle of water and pat dry with paper.

MyNameisMathilda · 27/12/2022 01:36

Senset cleansing foam but bottle is large. You can order from Amazon. Believe you can get their wipes too.
