Hello, I have dry skin that gets a lot worse in the cold weather, this year it is particularly bad and I'm really struggling with my make up. I feel like as soon as I put it on it's caking/cracking on my face. I really love the look of glowy skin and mine always looks so dull and dry. Can anybody recommend a foundation that will work to give me a nice glowy look?
Also would love recommendations for a decent moisturiser for my face if possible

Thank you 🙂

I think foundation will never lay smooth when skin is dry or flaking.

I'd start with looking at your skincare routine, how do you cleanse? Worth adding a hydrating toner then moisturiser?

I'm dry and this routine isn't for everyone but works a treat for me I have glowing skin.

Morning - no cleanse. Wash with water if need it.
Cosyryx snail muchin essence
Naturium vit c
Altruist Spf
Erborian CC cream & lip balm is all I wear

Evening
Cleanse with an oil or balm
Tretinoin
Beauty pie ceramide capsule
Either - La Roche Posay moisturiser or pure shea butter
Thin layer of vaseline in winter over whole face (all this is an hour before bed)

I have dry skin too and currently am using a big fat tub of Nivea soft (the white one)as my usual expensive moisturiser has run out.

I had a colour match done for a new foundation this week and my skin moisturisation level was 5/5, so will be sticking with it now.

I have dry skin and use weleda skin food. I use it at night and sometimes put on a thick layer and leave it to sink in. It's brilliant stuff and not expensive

Astral is good for dry skin. And cheap as chips.

Seconding Astral. Not glamorous but my skin gets dry through working outside ( I often have a chapped nose : lovely!) and slapping this on works wonders.

Glossier do a lovely serum - futuredew oil serum. Leaves a beautiful glow and feels very hydrating on my dry skin.
