Soft summer- with dark brown hair and eyes?

I paid for an online colour analysis- I’ve always thought I was winter toned (deep winter perhaps?) and wanted get a second/ professional opinion.

They reckon I am a soft summer! I have dark (but cool) brown eyes and mid to dark brown hair. I’ve looked online at celebrities/ videos about soft summer colour online and I just can’t see anyone who really looks like me!
they recommed muted/ pastel colours but these are not colours I think I suit, and white positively washes me out.
Could have it wrong?
Anyone willing to give me an opinion if I were to post a photo?

Hmmm, I have ash brown hair and was assessed as a true summer and by Sibérie else as a light during, and the spring has made the biggest difference to me. I would day have a look at the springs and see if any of the colour relates, you don’t have to ‘typically’ warm to fit.

i agree about that top really sitting you, and that’s warm

I also read somewhere that soft/muted summer is the closest there is to a neutral colour palette - neither warm nor cool.

This makes sense because I have been told I'm a Soft Summer but my skin tone is very neutral, a mix of pale pink and light golden. Also I really can't tell if my veins in my wrist are blue or green? Eyes are a blue, grey, green, whatever.

I’d say definitely summer - you have similar colouring to me although my eyes are grey not brown - it’s the lack of contrast between skin/hair that to me says summer not winter. I can’t wear the pale or icy pastels at all - I need mid-tone and mid- bright colours - nothing too dark/light/strong/muted 🤣 Classic neutral I guess! Try looking at true summer colours as well. I can sometimes get away with colours that sit more towards soft autumn if I have a tan. You are definitely not a spring though!

And with the top you are wearing that really suits you, I think it’s the navy that works for you - if the top was solid colours, all navy would look great but all tan would not! But you have neutral enough colouring to be able to carry off the tan - I can do the same. It works in accents but not as a solid colour.

Thank you all, this has been such interesting reading!

I have decided to give summer colours a go and see what they look like on me. I went for a wee browse round the shops after work today and was surprised by how many soft muted colours I saw that I normally blank out of my vision! 😂
