Really good hand cream

I’m a nurse so use lots of hand gel, and wash a lot. I’m finding that the skin around my nails is dry and sore, and I’m unconsciously picking at it. Any recommendations of hand cream ?

My skin reacts horribly to the hemp one

Pure shea butter can be very affordable and hydrating. I bet mine from Akoma

Neutrogena is amazing. The unscented stuff.

This. On before bed, better the next day.

L'Occitane Shea one is my favourite but I haven't tried the O'Keefe one.

Weleda Skin Food - very heavy but amazing for dry skin

You need CND solar nail oil, apply it all over the top of the nail and surrounding skin twice a day. Always buy it from a salon or a proper supplier not grey market like amazon.

Is the stuff on Amazon fake Fluffy?

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/12/2022 09:56

It's more it's of unknown providence, might be real, might be fake, might've sat in a container in a south american port for 6 months sweating it's tits off.

I bought a tiny bottle off ebay, smelt right but didnt soak in straightaway so I think it was fake.

Mynameiselvispresley · 18/12/2022 09:58

Loccitaine Shea is great.

This Nursem one is the best I've found - www.nursem.co.uk/collections/fullrange/products/unfragranced-caring-hand-cream-75ml

I'm a nurse too, and I love Atrixo handcream in the tub. Its quite cheap and its the only moisturiser that really helps with the dry skin around my nails. I do love the Body Shop Hemp handcream aswell but Atrixo is much more affordable.

HundredMilesAnHour · 18/12/2022 14:53

I like Nursem too. At the pricier end, the hand cream by both Aesop and Haeckels is outstandingly good. I really notice the difference.

Neutrogena Norwegian Concentrated Hand cream, I prefer the unscented one (red cap) personally just because otherwise I would only smell of that hand cream. You need a tiny tiny bit, it's amazing. If you want something a bit thinner in consistency, the various palmer's creams are nice too.

Thanks, I’ve ordered some.

My favourite hand cream is L’Occitane Cherry Blossom, sinks in well, light, gorgeous fragrance, love it.

SuperGinger · 19/12/2022 18:15

Vaseline Intensive care, I've tried others recommended here and didn't like them, L'occitane and Aveeno. Vaseline Intensive Care actually helps rather than just sitting on top of the skin.

I found something called "Gloves in a bottle" . Its fantastis stuff

HiyaCaath · 19/12/2022 18:58

The Lush hand creams are good and last forever.
