If I woke up tomorrow a super model, what would my daily routine look like?!

As I was plucking my chin hairs this morning, I was contemplating what I would need to consistently do in my life to start walking around looking like a super hot model.

I mean, I get my nails and lashes done every 2 weeks already - but i definitely don’t start the day guzzling hot water with lemon and doing an hour of yoga.

Sophie Stanbury has just put out a hair tutorial for her gorgeous bouncy hairdo, I have mine scraped back in a greasy mum bun.

I want to know what their daily routines are, should come the the New Year I want to transform myself! Any ideas?! (Lighthearted obvs, I know my Diet Coke and maccies addiction will prohibit me from any meaningful supermodel like life changes!)

How funny! I'm also not a model but i did buy a ten pack of garnier masks with the plan to do a 10 day skin blitz. The first one left my skin so nice that I decided to do every other day instead. Watch this space, i may in fact have masks left over after 2023, it's so easy to let things slip!

Thefailinghousewife · 14/12/2022 09:54

Oooh I might Amazon prime me some masks too! I really like the acid face mask from the ordinary. I like the acid socks for my feet too…… there’s a theme here!

Well if you were Kate Moss in the 90's it would be a Marlborough and a black coffee.

KimmySchmitt · 14/12/2022 10:06

I imagine it's mainly genetics and internal effort rather than the superficial (although that would come into it). Lots of exercise, enough sleep, a diet rich in fruit, veg and protein and low in sugar and alcohol would be a good start. Sorry, it's less exciting than hair and nails!

ModeWeasel · 14/12/2022 10:09

It’s all geared around looking good for shoot’s isn’t it? With days of no make up etc to help skin recover from lots of professional applications/removal

ModeWeasel · 14/12/2022 10:09

Shoots. FFS autocorrect

JMAngel1 · 14/12/2022 10:16

They are a different species - it’s not about routines.
I was just thinking this as we’re all off sick watching reruns of Modern Family. Sofia Vergaro is ridiculously perfect. Makeup a little OTT but god that body is a work of art - meanwhile I’m sat here in not one but two fleece dressing gowns with hair in a pineapple and feeling too ill to even wash my face 😂
If you’re looking for transformation inspiration, loads of “Glow Up” videos on YouTube - just skip past the teenage ones!!

mondaytosunday · 14/12/2022 10:17

Models are genetically blessed, then do all the grooming required for shoots and runway. They are usually aware of nutrition and exercise, but many, especially younger ones, get away with it because that's the way it is for some people. You often hear of a model getting to late 20s suddenly discovering proper eating and yoga etc. just as time catches up with them and they need to compete with younger girls for work .
The ones I knew, on their 'off' days, just looked like skinny gangly girls that needed a hair wash!

FunnyTalks · 14/12/2022 10:20

It really depends on what you mean by hot and super model. I probably don't pay enough attention to them, but great hair certainly isn't what comes to mind. That lanky, slightly ethereal, androgynous type with amazing cheekbones often comes with quite lank, straight hair. My teenage son currently resembles this kind of model and manages it on a very high calorie diet. When I see all the obligatory Xmas perfume ads I'm afraid I assume the models are not much older than him, and also going through a stinky, greasy phase.

Claudia84 · 14/12/2022 10:25

They have glam squads!
Weekly hair treatment, probably a keratin treatment
Weekly facial along with profhilo for example
Probably those led masks every day
Daily exercise coupled with eating a lot less than the average person
Possibly a slender tone type device??
Fat freezing treatments
Laser hair removal
Proper pedicures
Body brushing

I just imagine; if your job was to look good. That's what you would do. 37 hours a week given over to just making yourself look great.
What a life!! I would do it all apart from the super model part. Sort of like training for the part but not getting it. That would do me!!

I was just about to say this. I don't think Kate moss started the day off with hot water and lemon.
Probably cigarettes and coffee for breakfast.
Throw on an amazingly effortless outfit.
Get booked for some fashion shows.
Diet Coke for a snack with more cigaretts.
Change into a different outfit.
Meet Johnny Depp for a liquid lunch and a few lines.
Change into a stylish party outfit. Attend an exclusive party in the evening. Indulge in Vodka, Champagne, cigarettes and drugs.
After party with more drink, drugs and cigarettes.
Bedtime at 6am.

Sounds like the perfect day (apart from the drugs)

See this is what I want! I need a glam squad - someone to come wake me up and waft me into yoga before preparing me a nutritious breakfast and doing my make up for me!

sadly I couldn’t be arsed with all the drugs and partying to be Kate moss. I like to be in bed by 9pm because my family think the day starts at 5am for some reason…..

I’m exhausted just reading this. I’d be wanting a nana nap after my first liquid lunch and all that getting changed would make me all hot and flustered!

perhaps I’m not cut out for this lifestyle! Lol!

Supermodels tend to be very young and you have to be thin and tall the camera also needs to like you and you need to be able to pose well. Not everyone has charisma in front of a camera. If you have all that then hair make up lights and airbrushing can do the rest. You don’t need to be healthy fit or have good skin. Just be young tall and thin.

allfurcoatnoknickers · 14/12/2022 16:19

My personal trainer is a commercial/beauty model - so not a supermodel, but she does work for high end brands like Estee Lauder and Revolve. She used to do catwalk and she said it was really, really grim. You got paid in clothes and they never fed you properly and everyone was rude to you unless you were Gigi Hadid. Commercial modelling has much less prestige attached, but it's better paid and a nicer lifestyle AND you have to be skinny, but not rail thin.

Her routine was:
Get-up, 45 minute run
Protein shake for breakfast
Skim cappuccino or latte on the way to work
Training clients or meeting with agent/bookers/doing a photo shoot.
Salad for lunch. I think her fav was Pear Tricolore. Dressing on the side.
More training clients/photo shoots/agent meetings depending on the day
Another skim cappuccino.
If she had time she'd do a yoga/barre/pilates class at the end of the day
Dinner - grilled fish/chicken/protein and come kind of veggie with a complex carb like brown rice or quinoa. Glass of red wine at the weekends.

Her favorite cheat was a pain au chocolat for breakfast.

It is...a lot of work. I now see her hairdresser though 😂who only does models and referrals, so I have great hair. Hah.

Farmageddon · 14/12/2022 16:20

It would basically mean a lot of time, money and effort. Obviously good genetics do play a big part, but the upkeep is massive and at that level they are expected to look perfect all the time, so much pressure.

I remember watching an interview with Cindy Crawford back in the 90s, where she pretty much said it is my full time job to look like this, and I work at it 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. She admitted that she put a lot of effort in, working out, eating well, grooming etc.
It was a refreshing change from the usual 'oh I just woke up looking like this'.

Don't underestimate how many celebrities have had work done, albeit subtle, and who get regular in salon treatments, professional dermatologists etc. We only see the crap plastic surgery messes, but many of them have tweakments that aren't obvious.
There was a female singer on twitter (can't remember the name) who responded to a fan asking how she looked so great, and she listed out some in salon treatments she got regularly, and said that some were painful and took a while to heal, but made her skin look great before awards show and stuff. Again, some refreshing honesty.
Not like J-Lo claiming to look like she does because of olive oil 🙄

Also if you're talking about supermodels before a show, I believe many of them go on liquid diets a few days before to prevent bloating, and even take laxatives.

God I'm so hungry after reading that

I’m trying to figure out how much of this effort I could out source, if money were no object. I’m imagining having a nice lie in while a team of beauticians hover, waiting for me to roll over so they can gently paint/polish/straighten the other side. Then they’ll all melt away discreetly so I can get up looking stunning.

SpotlessMind88 · 14/12/2022 16:40

@Kindofcrunchy haha "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels"

allfurcoatnoknickers · 14/12/2022 17:07

@FoxtrotOscarFoxtrotOscar Haha, I basically asked her how I'd look like her...and the 45 minute run put me right off 😂. Going to the same hairdresser was much easier.

Hahaha you know I was watching the Kardashians yesterday (I know I know) and Travis Scott was getting ready for an awards ceremony (or something like that) and he actually had someone that appeared to just be rubbing moisturiser into his arms.
Just that, someone that gets paid to massage moisturiser into your arms before an event!

Maireas · 14/12/2022 20:06

Cigarettes

rosemarysalter · 14/12/2022 20:15
