Not strictly style but has anyone had grip soles put on shoes and boots?

My DM and stepdad said the local shoe menders is doing this and it’s very good.

what boots are good in snow? Usually wear wellington boots but looking for something nicer? Moon boots?

I have yaktrax which attach to normal shoes and give really good grip in the snow and ice.

Sorel make good snow boots, and Mountain Warehouse do some decent dupes. My snow boots are from Crocs of all places but I don’t think they make them any more.

I purchased some snow boots from Next of all places. Also bought some lined wellies from Tretorn and they faired well on snow and ice today.

I've got some spikes that velcro over normal boots for walking on ice. Don't often get a chance to use them but they live in the car boot.

Thanks for everyone’s suggestions.

I’ve broken my right foot twice (not on ice) but I really don’t fancy breaking it or another limb on ice.
