Eyeshadow palette. Code 8, Natasha Denona, Bobbi Brown?

I think I will ask for a new eyeshadow palette for Christmas. But I’m unsure what to go for. I’ve never used Code 8, Natasha Denona or Bobbi Brown eyeshadows before. Any recommendations or feedback? Thanks.

i think it depends what kind of eyeshadow you’re looking for. Are you going for neutral or colours? Matt, shimmer or a mix.
if your looking for Matt neutral my favourites are -
Charlotte Tilbury the sophisticate - this is my all time favourite Matt pallet. Or the nudes pallet is good too.
Dior soft cashmere - quite a good mix of Matt and shimmer, good for a Smokey eye.
Lancôme - taupe craze - good for day or night.
I recently got the Natasha Denona glam pallet after coveting it for ages. I have to say I’m not that thrilled by it, it’s very similar to the Revolution nude pallet, which is much, much cheaper.

Thanks for reply. Looking for larger than a quad. I love the look of this one from Bobbi Brown, but haven’t used their eyeshadow before. Wary as bought their concealer earlier this year and it did not agree with me at all.
Dior I’ve used plenty of before but they changed the formula of their eyeshadows and didn’t think the pigmentation was good any more.
i want something with a lux feel, that I wouldn’t usually buy for myself, so not revolution etc. Is Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow good? All that ‘yes darling, fabulous darling’ has put me off her stuff.😂

I have to say I'm still loving my Urban Decay Naked palettes, although I know they are marmite for people. I like the variety and for me they work well. I can use them together or as a one and done. The whole point of them being 'Naked' is that they are a light touch of colour that you can build to whatever intensity you desire.

I also like Pat McGrath, although she is obsessed with pink! The colours are amazing on, very pigmented. You get a bit of fallout with these so I do my eyes before my foundation when I use them. The larger palettes have an irritating closure feature, I recommend the 6 pans instead.

The Natasha Denona palettes blend very well - they have a soft texture. You can layer the colours easily without them looking muddy, like cheaper palettes often do.

Can't bear Charlotte Tilbury for the same reason as you! I've tried a friend's eyeshadow and it's fine. It's more about the packaging and experience than the product.

Oh gosh, Fred, every time I pass the UD stall I stare wistfully at the Naked palettes…but I used them years ago and like you have heard people feeling very marmite about them.
the Natasha ones look lovely, I’m very tempted.
thanks.

I didn't love Natasha Denona the eyeshadows had no staying power.

Lisa Eldridge's mnw eyeshadow palettes look amazing.

It will depend on your skin tone and the type of look you want to achieve. Why not ask for a make up lesson at a make up counter? They are usually redeemable against product so you'll get matched and learn how best to wear it.

My all time favourite is Tarte. Blends amazingly well and stays. I choose the matte ones as my older skin doesn’t like shimmer so much.

Thanks for replies. Those Tarte ones look gorgeous, exactly what I was looking for, thanks Nolosomi.

Another recommendation for tarte eyeshadows - I don't really rate their mascaras but the eyeshadows are buttery soft, blend beautifully and last well.

Delivery from their website usually takes just over a week to the UK, or it's sometimes worth checking out QVC for deals. They're also on Sephora
