Looking for a Lightweight matte Foundation for mature skin like ageless elixir (max factor)

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a foundation to replace the one I use… Max factor ageless elixir which has sadly been discontinued.

I prefer a matte (due to oily skin), full (due to blotchy skin with a tendency to redness) but lightweight coverage which doesn’t sit in and highlight wrinkles and lines!!

I found my previous one so flattering I barely needed any more makeup on and have tried a few different ranges and brands but none has come close to looking the same. Most are too heavy and accentuate my lines, while others don’t hide the blemishes.

I find it so frustrating when they discontinue a range.

tia

I have no idea but was thinking about starting a thread asking for the same!

I use the Glossier perfecting skin tint, you can layer it up for more coverage . I'm 59, prone to some redness and find it gives me enough coverage for every day.

Hi
did you find a replacement? I’ve tried loads of different ones but nothing beats the look I got from the elixir. I wish max factor would bring it back!

I feel the same as all of you. None of the other Max Factor foundations match the ageless elixir. The one which comes closest so far (and I have spent a lot of money already) is Clarins Skin Illusion. Doesn't totally match the colour I want but otherwise very good with good cover.

I don’t suppose anyone has found anything that is comparable to max factor ageless elixir!

I really miss this foundation as it was very lightweight but with great coverage I’m really evened out my skin tone which has a tendency to be quite blotchy and red.

It also made me look a lot younger, and now I can’t find anything the same, everything just sits in my lines or accentuates my pores!

The closest I have come to the Ageless Elixir it the Boots No. 7 Lift and Luminate foundation. Even the colour they suggested is the best (it beats Clarins and Clinique). Hope it works for you.
