Help me find a very warm long coat on a budget

Please!

I'm very short and size 16 and all of my coats are short. It's bloody freezing and I need a properly warm coat that's long enough to cover my backside sitting down so knee length or longer.

Ideally I don't want to spend more than £50 ish but can go a bit over and I'm happy to scour vinted and ebay for anything recommended.

Id love a down coat but ive heard they are cruel ?

Another vote for the Uniqlo down jackets - there are loads on eBay/Vinted in your budget. I have the Ultralight one, and it can be unzipped from the top or the bottom so you have movement your waist/legs.

You'd need to look at the company for the ethics involved but yes there's a lot of cruelty involved in some brands .

DD and I have SuperDry coats ( I haven;t worn mine yet as its a full length , she has the jacket and says its toasty) filled with material recycled from plastic bottles .

I bought this one this week as my last padded coat ( which was from Primark) was falling apart. The difference in quality and warmth to the Primark one is insane. This coat is So Warm. And the cuffs are elasticated which keeps the warmth in.
Not fantastically stylish but ok and does the job.

I got a long puffa type in Tesco in green, its lovely and warm and looks good.
I got a slightly shorter one last year in Asda.

I'd suggest boohoo.... but I won't! Great coats but terrible employer.

This is my third winter in a lovely & warm long black puffer coat - £40 from TKMaxx.

I have the Uniqlo long down one and it's fab.

I got one in Asda and it's the warmest coat I have. I wear it to work and it looks so smart, people keep asking where I got it from! It was £40 (this was last year though)
