Coats to wear with midi dresses

I have some dresses that are mid length , but not sure what coat to wear over them. Jackets are not warm enough now .

I have coats , but they end mid thigh, they don’t look right over midi dresses showing below.

what do others do ?

I got this coat when it was on offer around Black Friday and it's lovely with my longer dresses. I'm 5ft3 so it's lower calf length on me.

That is not bad re length.

I'm wondering whether it is either a coat that is longer than my dresses or noticeably shorter.
So a warm jacket or long coat . There aren't many long long coats about.
Those colours and style work, but I have one that length and it doesn;t seem to work with midi dresses.

Oh I also need a 22 size.

I like that. I am around 5ft 6. Probably need slightly longer.

I do like long coats . Years back had some lovely ones and then the shops seemed to move away from long long coat .

I love a trench coat. M&S have loads of lovely ones at the mo.

Long line M and S seem to be 41 inches.

id like about 48 inches.

Another long line but also a car coat ? I thought car coats were short ?
I do like this if it was a little longer
