Would you dye bleached hair back brunette?

I'm naturally brunette but for the last 3 years I've been getting highlights every few months so now I'm nearly fully blonde.
My hair has massively thinned and lots of breakage.
My hairdresser says it's not because of the bleach -must be something else
I'm not convinced
I'm thinking of going back brunette in new year and cutting my hair and basically starting again.

What would you do?
I'm naturally brunette so I know I suit it
I do miss being brunette and I think if I keep bleaching I will have no hair left.

Brunette colours are more forgiving in hiding damaged hair if you use box dye ensure it's an ash brown type of colour. It will be porous so will seem dark initially however will lighten quickly after a couple of weeks so dont be shocked. Definitely start again and get checked for vits and thyroid, iron and b12.. you know, the usual suspects. I lost hair from Covid as well and heard of this happening for other women... and you know about stress and hormones.... it all shows up in the hair months later but hopefully your hair will regrow.
Short and healthy better than long and tired so go for it new year new hair!

I would get it done at the hairdressers rather than a box dye as I do need a good cut and style too.
I'm hoping it won't go too dark as I would prefer it medium brown rather than too dark.

@Tiz90 yes I love Brad mondo videos ...I think he is the reason I'm scared to do my own hair 😂

What ever you do, do not put an ash brown on it, you will definitely go green 😵‍💫

I went from blonde back to brunette. Like you I had loads of highlights and eventually ended up blonde, but it made my hair very dry. I don't think I have the patience for the kind of upkeep that bleached hair requires.
Anyway, I had a hairdresser dye it the first couple of times and now I use a box dye. Brunette is much easier and cheaper to maintain, if money and time are a bit tight. My hair is in much better condition too - I do take really expensive vit b though, so that helps I think.
