Best hair tongues for a beginner

I won’t proper tongues. Not a wand which I can’t get to grips with.
I have very straight silky shiny hair that doesn’t hold a curly really but I have just had some layers put in and want to try putting a bit of movement in it.

Wow wondered what I'd been missing out on!

The beauty works waver is great for beginners as it’s so easy to use. If you want a traditional hair tong they are all pretty similar but I’d go for a ceramic one. I have two Babyliss ones a thin barrel for tighter curls and a large barrel for big bouncy curls.

If your hair is naturally straight and silky, then even the most expensive curling tong may only hold for a few hours with gel/sprays etc.

If possible, feel the tong part with your hand. I had a set which had a section which trapped hair in everytime and were awful! I always thought an ion type were better, but hopefully a hair dresser will come on and help you.

In my not very extensive search have come across the BaByliss curlstyler luxe which is neither a wand, a tongue a tong or even a secret ( they scar me a bit). But anyway I’ve drunk ordered it off Amazon!
