Vinted - should I be worried about this buyer?

Hi, hope I'm posting this in the right section.

I'm selling a few items on Vinted just now and have had a request to buy two as a bundle. The potential buyer has no track record, no reviews, no pic, no bio info. My spidey senses are tingling. Should I be worried? I'm not experienced with Vinted enough to understand the possible ways scammers might work.

Is there anything I can do to protect myself from a possible risk of sending and not getting paid? (Apart from just not accepting the offer to buy obviously)

What's the shipping method?

If Evri or similar then it gets scanned when they collect and you get paid, if Royal Mail then there's no proof so have disabled that option on my account.

However, there is the option when you've received an item to then report problem which could be what they might do.

If spidey tingles I'd listen!

I don't have a photo or bio, and when I first joined no reviews. Still don't have the first two as I use it for shopping not socialising.

The best way to protect yourself is to use tracked postage so Evri rather than royal mail. Scammers can't just keep the item and the money, if they try and say there is a problem they have to send the item back at their own cost. So they main way they would try and scam you would be by sending back something else. If what your selling isn't very expensive its not very likely.

Vinted is much more rife with scammers selling fake goods than people trying to keep items and the payment. The way its set up its just a lot harder to do this than on say ebay.

Thanks for the helpful steer. Really useful - thankfully I don't have Royal Mail option activated!

You’d be describing me as a buyer the first time I bought! And I’m pretty legit. It’s never occurred to me to add any information about myself although I’ve now bought a few things.
