Trying to recreate this 1950s dress

I am in the process of doing up a 1950s car and would love to be able to recreate the dress used in the original marketing brochure, to wear at rallies once the car is restored (the one on the right, not the Call the Midwife nurse outfit on the left). I have had a look at retro patterns but can't quite find one that is the same, with the revere collar, and I am struggling to locate a similar fabric. Any ideas?I am also wondering about where to find a similar belt and shoes.

Are you wanting to make it or just get one?

How big is your budget for this? I suspect the fabric isn't cotton (silk or rayon, maybe? It has shine and holds itself up well despite looking very lightweight) and it's a very unusual design with the pockets at the centre so don't think you'd easily find an exact pattern. There's people who specialise in vintage pattern drafting that could probably do it for you but I'm guessing it won't be cheap. It's not that hard to alter an existing pattern though if you've found something close enough, plenty of YouTube tutorials (and even drafting from scratch isn't as hard as it seems).

You'll probably find more fabric options if you search for candy striped fabric, not sure how true to original you want to be, but this polyblend might be good as practice fabric as it'll have a similar feel but I suspect the stripes are thinner than on your picture. There's also this ready made 1930s dress that is pretty similar.

I saw the pattern when I googled ... I think I could probably redesign the pockets enough myself for it to work. Botemp, how much fabric should I order at a guess? I am sure that fabric would do, it doesn't need to be exact.

The Named Reeta dress looks similar in the bodice to my eye, though I think the one in your picture is a shirtwaist style.

For the fabric I think it might be a cotton sateen or poplin, something with some body. I think rayon is too drapey and wouldn’t hold the shape of the sleeves like in the picture. It could be a silk, but silk of that quality/weight/opacity wouldn’t be cheap or easy to get hold of.

this might be a pattern with looking at it has to be your size though, the site has a lot more options to look through.

In terms of how much fabric it probably depends on the direction of the stripe, you don't need to pattern much so I'm guessing with 3 metres you should probably manage it but if you're going to use it as trial fabric I'd buy some more, it's not ridiculously expensive.
