I've been dragging my frizzy hair straight all my life but I was away with friends last week and one said she thought I probably have really curly hair and should curl train it
Her sister has hair similar to mine apparently when wet. She's going to ask what she uses but thought I'd ask here too.
My hair is coloured and juat past my shoulders

It’s worth a try! I have naturally curly hair and was the same as you for a good few years, spent hours straightening it most days.

I would start with a good quality shampoo and conditioner - doesn’t necessarily need to be for curly hair, but something lightweight with no nasty sulphates etc. I use Aveda cherry almond.

Then you’ll want to treat your hair differently after washing. There are loads of different things you can try and a lot of it is trial and error and finding out what suits your hair type.

For me, I use a Aveda’s curl prep, followed by a curl cream, then a lightweight gel for hold. I smooth these through my hair and scrunch it in with my fingers to encourage my curls. You should avoid using a towel on your hair and ideally not use any fabric on it at all as it encourages frizz, but if you must it’s better to scrunch dry with a micro fibre towel or just a normal t-shirt. Either air dry or blow dry with a diffuser.

I would definitely suggest searching ‘curl training’ on YouTube. You’ll get loads of ideas of things to try.

I have had curly hair all my life , it's more about technique tbh ..

Just get boots curl cream , brush through when wet , scrunch and diffuse ..

Don't over think it but practice makes perfect

Well actually that's not true , my hair still has bad days but that's the nature of having crazy hair 🤷‍♀️🤣

i use diva curl conditioner and curl cream. i don't find shampoo's (which i only need to use weekly) makes a difference in my curls.
i suggest going to a bigger shop and asking for samples, i love moroccan oil curl cream but at some point it's about budget.
i go through a lot of curl cream and it's a touch too pricy, diva curl is just a bit cheaper where i live.
