I am thinking of doing this for me and my mum for a mothers day gift (to myself!).

is it worth it?

Should I go with colour me beautiful/House of colour or someone else?

Should we have just colours or style advise or shopping day?

CaptainCod · 31/01/2008 16:41

I htinkt he make up is a waste of time becuase iht any nouse once oyu haev your colours done you can deduce that these tones/shades will also suit your make up

PandaG · 31/01/2008 16:41

worth every penny imo - I've had colours and style done at different times. I went with HoC, but I think independants can be the way to go, if you can get a recommendation for someone near you..I can recommend in Sheffield if that is any good to you?

CaptainCod · 31/01/2008 16:42

it totalyl changes the way you shop.
much mroe effecitve

CaptainCod · 31/01/2008 16:46

she is very funny, very anti bullshitty and made me giggle a lot.

PandaG · 31/01/2008 16:47

agree Cod. So much quicker to shop, and DH knows my 'rules', so gets it right when he buys me presents too.

Brilliant. I will go for it then!

I think I've lost my way colourwise, everything is brown.

I'm not sure about the style advise, will they just tell me everythong my Trinny and susannah book has already told me? I kind of know what suits me.

Do feel I'm a bit stuck and unsure between rock chick funky look and feeling I need to 'mature' my look now though IYSWIM? (i'm 37, too old for Rock chick!)

I'm in the Midalnds if anyone has a recommendatin.

i am a muted summer

can do marroon, purple, cocoa, pewter, rose ,jade, grass green, pale blue, mid blue, reddy pinks etc

CaptainCod · 31/01/2008 16:52

my best style tiup is ot read grazia and keep looking IN shops even if you arent buying

Witheringheights · 31/01/2008 16:53

I don't even think brown sits me much, it's just easy once you've got a few browm things as everything will go.

So style advise too or not?

I wasn't really intersted in the make up i think i've pretty much got that sussed.

Beaujoli lip gloss is the answer to all my make up prayers.

Grazia? Why that one?

I got style inspiartion from Big Brither I've admitedd I need help OK!!!

But I like what nicle appleton was wearing and the other one Mel Blatt?
Also liked Amy's style but too young for me. I can;t adjust to more mature dressing!!!
