Can I recommend a pair of trousers?

95% of my wardrobe is preloved via Vinted, but occasionally I buy the odd thing that's so great, I know I'll regret not buying.

There is a pair of trousers in Zara just now that are just that: high-waisted, very flattering (I have a bit of a mum tum), very versatile. I absolutely KNOW they will become a wardrobe staple for me, and I've bought in two colours so far.

Oh you look lovely! I wish I could get away with light colours but, alas, I have a 1 year old and a 3 year old

This is a relatively new adventure into light colours, and it'll only happen at work when I am away from my 6m puppy!!! My kids are 15, 13 and 11... I remember well the days of wearing patterns everyday so that spilled food and drink showed up less.

I bought them in dark green too, and I'm having to sit on my hards from ordering the grey/blue colours.

They look great on you but that sizing is ridiculous. You are VERY far from XL

I live in Scotland - we're a hardy bunch. Even in winter my jeans are folded up slightly. I teach in a school that's always warm, so cold ankles aren't really an issue.

I'm 5ft9 btw, and they're not very cropped on me... Not full length, maybe 7/8.

Oh I have them in pink, love them I'm a size 8 and got a small, vary between xs and a in Zara normally. They are full length on me, 5'3 😆
