Medication making my skin awful

I have advanced lung cancer and have just started on some inhibitor medication. I was told that a side effect could be a rash on my face but actually my skin is just dreadful. I have always had good skin - very low maintenance. Now it's covered in little pustules and is rough, itchy and flakey. I am using an unscented gentle facial wash and a light moisturiser but this isn't making it feel any better. And the itching ...arrghh! Anyone got any advice?

I am not sure, but I am using Glaxal Base Moisturizing Cream on my skin where I had radiation therapy. It stopped the itching immediately. I would ask your nurse but until then you could ask your pharmacist.

Normally products with salicylic acid in are really good for acne and might help to clear up your skin, I like the ordinary salicylic acid serum. I use this on my chin area where I’m prone to breakouts and it really helps.
However check with your doctor first just to make sure it’s safe if your on medication?

Cerave for bumpy rough skin has salicylic acid in it - and helped my middle-aged acne. Deffo check with the pharmacist/dr if ok to use though.
Hope you find something that helps.
