Are any wet/dry epilators good?

I bought a Philips one off a recommendation here, but it's useless! It seems to break the hairs it catches rather than epilate and only catches around 50%. It has a curve to make it ergonomic but that means it only works on the parts of your body that has the same curve and the hairs lie in the right direction e.g. for underarms there's no contact, for thighs there's contact but the hairs are crossways to the epilator so don't get picked up.

Wondering if it's worth seeing if I can get one in the sales or if they all have the same issues.

I am using Braun Silk-épil for the underarms. It is very important to do it after a shower when the follicles are softer. You could use it while sitting in the bath and clean it with water. I use it after the shower as it seems to glide better on dry skin, and I make sure to use an aftershave moisturizer. I do it at night to let the skin soothe, as the folicles may become very irritated the next day. Don't use deodorant for underarms; use baby powder. I strongly recommend it. good luck!
