Christmas parties- will you wear heels?

Like many people I’ve moved away from wearing heels everyday since CoVID. I mostly wear loafers or boots and the only heels I’ve worn all year are heeled ankle boots. However, I have a couple of black tie Christmas parties coming up and I don’t feel right in flats with that type of dress but my collection of heels feels so dated.

What footwear do people go for with evening wear now?

Esska not Essie

I really like the platform but can’t do ankle straps as they make my legs look stumpy. You’ve reminded me of some Office shoes from years ago, platform courts that I owned in about 6 different colours. Caves I think they were called… maybe something like that would work.

I have some gold mules from M&S that are comfortable for heels, unfortunately I think they stopped making them.

I doubt I'll be going to any that aren't casual so probably won't have a need. Interesting though though, I haven't worn heels in years now and prefer not to but nothing lends itself that well to a party dress so I probably would if I had occasion to wear one.

Esska seems to be everywhere at the moment. At least they look reasonably comfortable- expensive though.

I really like these from Eska and think they could work well with my dress, but I have splurged on the dress already so didn’t want to spend that much on shoes:
