I know it's not AIBU but please don't pounce on me either saying these are t posh or that it's frivolous. I'm miserable and can't get the cash equivalent so may as well have a treat

I'd go for the neom body butter! Enjoy op

LearnerCook · 16/11/2022 14:58

I think I'd try the lash serum. Do you feel that your lashes are in need of any help?

PollyAmour · 16/11/2022 14:59

The Laura Merrier cream eyeshadow trial kit would be my choice.

VanillaSpiceCandle · 16/11/2022 16:45

I’d opt for the safe bet and then you can try something new with your own money so you can check colours etc in person.

Livingonjuice · 16/11/2022 18:02

Maybe I got for best value as there's no correlation really between value and how much of my voucher credit I have to use so maybe get the most expensive.
I hope this isn't sounding crass by the way. I can't have the cash and don't need any more costume jewellery which is the other option.
I really need a new BB/ glowing foundation but didn't see any on there that had been recommended on here previously. I don't think on reflection that a fancy lip is where I'm at. I'd love to try Trinny stuff but none on there 😞

Don't apologise! Sounds great. I'd go Neom body butter or the eyeshadows

dontgobaconmyheart · 16/11/2022 18:17

Not crass at all OP - you've earned it and as you say, can't have the cash anyway so of course it should be cashed in and enjoyed, guilt free.

I'm boring and frugal so would first get anything I use anyway or routinely buy - eg foundation, and would weigh that up against what is best value. The way I would view that is that if I'm not paying for something I would usually buy anyway then I can use the money to buy whatever I want rather than what the catalogue obliges me to choose from and try something new that way choosing it in a shop. I would also go for things I know will be actually used up, and probably not something like a random lipstick I might not like or anything in a scent I haven't smelled and know I like.

If you love the Origins body souffle then that seems like a winner for a spot?

What are the BB cream options? Clinique foundations are nice in my experience. I like even better glow and the even better range in general but don't tend to buy it these days.

Livingonjuice · 16/11/2022 18:35

I'll go back on and check bb. Mind you it's my grey tired face I'm after improving but can't commit to big expense on skincare going forward so don't want to try and love something then not afford it. I used to love Liz Earle c and p but doesn't work for me now. Tropic cleanser smells nice but no discernible glow. Maybe that's it and I'll look like a crumpled paper bag from now on. I'm 47 if that helps!

I just got Clinique serum foundation. Honestly makes me look glowing and 10 years younger.

MistyRock · 17/11/2022 12:49

I can vouch for the Clinique Even Better and Even Better Glow. They are both Lovely. Also the Laura Mercier cream eyeshadow sounds great.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 17/11/2022 13:01

Is there an option for CT Flawless filter? That stuff is the bomb. ( although I have discovered a perfect dupe of it for £6 thanks to another canny MNer)

What the dupe? I don't think it's on the list sadly

We need to know what the £6 dupe is. All agog here!

ILoveShula · 17/11/2022 15:56

Thank you @Livingonjuice . Might pop in to Boots later. Smile

Armani make-up (and skincare) is really good! The only item I wouldn't recommend is the concealer (it's fine but nothing beats MAC Studio concealer).
