I spent today traipsing around my local shopping mall which has a really good mix of shops- but nothing. John Lewis was full of spring-time surrendered wife picnic dresses, ‘jazzzzzy’ Christmas do party dress or things that I liked, but simple wasn’t appropriate (too much skin, fabric a bit too much like wrapping paper)

It is in a very Orthodox Church and it will be cold. MIL says above knee is fine as long dress isn’t too ‘party’ and I wear tights. Generally mum wears white or another pale colour in their culture, dad in a suit, a bit like a bride and groom.

I am going to wear a pair of heeled loafers with it and opaques. I have a nice mix of coats so can be flexible with colours. Would like to wear white or cream as is the tradition but everything is looking summery?

Size 10-12, theatrical kibbe body type, big breastfeeding boobs right now, five foot nothing so nothing too long.

I don’t really want to spend over £100. I’m ok with Vinted links too.

oh and it’s next week so I better hurry up.

please help me!!!!

Ooh that is tricky isn’t it! Not sure from your post if you need breastfeeding access but would something like this work? www.wolfandbadger.com/uk/midi-dress-ecru/

I really like that but I would struggle to yank down and feed from it, as you say! And looks too structured to yank up.

sorry- would have been helpful to put in my post

Nothing really special enough on there- twee prints or more jazzy Christmas dresses. Thanks for the the suggestion though.

Also quite annoyingly all nursing clothes tend to be ‘and maternity’ - I am not pregnant and don’t need/want the extra fabric.

I buy very little peekaboo nursing clothes these days- I just yank up or down. Unless it’s a tricky neckline like the dress upthread, it usually works…

I wore a dress from Joules (which i wouldn't recommend now they are in administration) but i put a white cropped blazer from monsoon over the top. Might give you more dress options without going too summery?

This is nice but I’m not sure you’d like the length? (also over budget)

Or this…
Boohoo dress

I think wrap dresses might work best for ease of BF whilst still looking formal, but it’s hard to get the colour and style you need at the same time!

That ghost one is great and I love the boohoo dupe too if needed. Trying not to buy fast fashion but I have left it too late- may use this as Vinted inspo.

I may order the ghost to try on- it’s over budget but would be worn again.

I should have said in my post that I’m also 28 and I usually shop (mainly secondhand) at river island, allsaints, esprit, Uniqlo, Arket, H&M, Topshop on ASOS, a bit of M&S collection.

The White Company has some beautiful pale knits, skirts and dresses, including velvets (warm for church!), but do come in over the budget you mentioned. One dress www.thewhitecompany.com/uk/Ladder-Insert-Silk-Velvet-Midi-Dress/p/A03553
The Seamstress of Bloomsbury has some lovely separates and dresses that are worth a look. Excellent value - the Eva dress comes in cream and is front-fastening.

I like this but a sister Jane size small is an 8

it’s a shame, it’s not too much at all

happy for something a bit frou frou - can always toughen up with a pair of Chelsea boots instead of my loafers
