Hair stylers for creating curls or waves

I have naturally wavy hair but my waves seem to drop out when i blow dry and it just ends up really straight. Over the years, I've had decent results putting the waves back with heated rollers but i don't have the time on my morning between getting me and the 16month old ready and out the door to use those.

Do things like the Babyliss curl secret actually work? Budget does not stretch to a Dyson so that is out of the question but wondering if something like the Babyliss would help bring my hair back to looking more like its natural form without having to leave the house with wet hair?

Any other recommendations?

Rough dry it so that it is just a bit damp. make a ponytail. Twist the tail then roll it into a bun. leave it to dry then shake the bun out.

Thanks @FayCarew, that's what i do in the spring / summer, but in the autumn / winter, my hair just doesn't dry and i end up coming home with a bun that is still damp. I'm really looking for something that means i can have dry hair before leaving the house.

Are you using the hairdryer first so that it's only slightly damp when you do your bun?

Forgot to say, I did have the babyliss secret curl and it did work but I found the curls too tight, I looked like Shirley Temple !!

I love my curl secret, the curls last ages for me and then drop into lovely waves. You can turn temp down to make the curls a bit looser as it doesn't hold them in the barrel as long, think there is a timer button on there.
