First time going to a spa with friends and no idea what to take. Getting a facial and massage done and also lunch there. Do we sit all day in robes and swimwear? Shall I take shorts as well? Somebody please help!

Take a swimming costume and some flip flops. The rest will be provided for you.

And yes, generally you sit around in dressing gowns and swimwear! Have fun

Yes just robes and swimwear! They usually say whether to bring footwear and whether they provide towels/robes - some charge, and one near me has stopped providing the slipper/flip flop things because of environment.

For lunch I imagine you’ll get dressed if in a restaurant/cafe area.

Just a cozzie will be fine.
One of my highlights at a spa day is being able to eat my lunch/sip champagne in a bathrobe. Very AbFab
And take ome slouchy clothes for going home as you'll be all oily. Enjoy!

Take two swimsuits if you have them - means you don't have to sit around in a wet one while you're having lunch!

I would tend to arrive in gym leggings and a sweatshirt - if it has an actual gym you might need extra clothes depending on how sweaty you get…! But fine to mooch in a robe all day. Extra swimwear helpful if you want to go swimming more than once. Last time I went lots of people were in robes at the nice-ish restaurant.
