Hello lovely style and beauty people...

I really want some really wide leg jeans but I am a total short arse and my internet searching is coming up blank so far!

Spec:
Petite length (I'm 5ft)
Mid blue
High waisted (two c-sections...)
No raw hems please
Budget up to about £80

Thanks so much!

Have a look at marks and Spencer they have wide leg and flared jeans in a short length and will be well under your budget. Otherwise jigsaw Tyne jeans - cropped but long enough for me and not overwhelmingly wide for my height

Niftythrifter · 13/11/2022 21:41

@TooMinty @Brillenbar47 Marks and Spencer do have wide leg and I believe high waisted jeans however the short length is way too long for me at around the same height.

TooMinty · 13/11/2022 22:43

Well there's an M&S near me so I can go try some on but I do often find that short length is still too long as lots of shops consider 5'3" to be petite!

Forgot about Jigsaw, will take a look thanks 😊

Could go to £120 for the perfect pair I guess

Try asos top shop they have 100s of petite options

You could always go for petite, then get them altered.

I get the M and S jeans/next, then take them to a seamstress.

PaprikaPlease · 13/11/2022 22:58

These from boden? They have a cyber sale on so should be in budget. I'm petite too and often buy from them.

For range (size/style) and quality try Levis, they have up to 25" inseam on some styles. If you can get into a shop and find a style that works for you, you can look for deals online. Hollister also have extra short length and their jeans are around £50.

There is a lovely tailor round the corner from me who would shorten them, good call.

Boden ones have a raw hem that I'm not keen on.

I looked at Topshop but was starting to feel a bit old for their jeans (at 43). Will look again...

Levi and Hollister added to the list to check, totally forgot about Hollister!

@TooMinty If you buy Levi’s they will alter them for free even if you don’t buy them in a Levi’s store.

Niftythrifter · 14/11/2022 07:32

Ooh I like those Boden ones but £90 is a bit too much for me when I am used to buying in charity shops and paying charity shop prices😂😂

Oh that is really helpful to know, thanks!

ASOS

Fraaahnces · 14/11/2022 08:51

Have you tried Uniqlo? They do on-site tailoring and always seem to have fab jeans.

latetothefisting · 14/11/2022 09:26

M&s do a short and also a very short (but only in some styles). Sainsbury tu have some petite wide leg jeans atm but I think they are black but maybe keep an eye to see if they have more in?

I have never tried their jeans thanks! I live in a small town so need to wait until I'm in a city with a branch of Uniqlo...
