Hair help! I need thickness or volume!

I’m 45, perimenopausal and just started hrt. My hair is naturally wavy but not evenly - if I leave it to do it’s own thing, some bits are properly curly while others are much straighter. Any curl I do put in doesn’t hold for long.

A couple of months ago I noticed my hair has gone alarmingly thin, especially around my hairline. It also seems very fragile and frizzy, much worse than it ever did.

I pretty much stopped heat styling it during the first lockdown and never really started again. It isn’t dyed, bleached, chemically straightened or permed, so not over processed or heat damaged, so I can only conclude it’s hormonal or age related.

I’m currently using Function of Beauty and it’s worked well for me up until now, but I feel like I need some extra help.

Has anyone had any success with Champo? Or, the other thing I’ve been considering is trying something like Only Curls to see if specialist care on thinner hair means my curls will be happier to come out and give me some volume that way.

Happy to take any recommendations that have worked for others!

I have tried no end of methods and products, and what I am using now is the best, and probably the cheapest...
Use a claryfying or cleansing shampoo, doesn't matter which, condition, comb through, rinse, comb through (large tooth comb) when wet through, scrunch immediate wetness out, wrap loosely in microfibre towel.
I'm putting on a big blob of schwarzkopf keratin mousse, £3 ish from Boots or Bodycare shops. Scrunch it in, let dry for a while, use diffuser to finish /shape.
It hold the shape and curl better than anything else!
days between washing, spray with water and maybe add a bit of mousse if needing a boost. Good luck
