Why do all faux leather leggings....

Have to have front seams on the leg??

I swear every pair of leather leggings I see has this. I find it really unflattering and would rather the seam was at the side!

Abercrombie have some without the seam at the front x

I’ve got some without the seam but my gripe is they’re always way too short :-(

I can't explain why. But prominent front seams on trousers make me feel uneasy. I hate them!

I'm 5ft 9 and don't fancy having freezing ankles, on top of having to have a front seam!

Yes OP, Spanx is the brand to investigate.
For a cheaper alternative, Calzedonia do some in antique or dusty black, so not that shiny black, in standard or thermal version for about £35. No front seam.

I’m only 5ft 4 and they’re half mast. They must be shorts on you at 5ft 9!

The front seam sort of accentuates that area in a sense.
With Spanx I find the seam between the legs sits just bellow without creating any visible contours.
Not sure how else to explain it better.

Calzedonia I mentioned earlier, sit a bit higher so not as nice as Spanx but the only thermal version I could find in this style. And they have the issue of short legs - no idea why that happens.

Another vote for Spanx, absolutely love them. I’ve got the biker style and they look fantastic on, super compression but really comfortable too. No front seams.

Just read @Branster comments on no camel toe with Spanx and completely agree.

Try Commando..very similar if not nicer than Spanx

Just reviving this thread to say that House of Fraser currently have the Spanx leggings on sale for £72 plus postage (only size 12 available) Cheapest I've seen elsewhere is £89.

Pretty sure my Mint velvet ones don’t have it. They do different lengths too.

I think it is to emulate real leather trousers which often do have extra seams due to leather coming in smaller pieces than normal fabric.

It puts the lotion in the basket...

Mint Velvet do decent ones. No front seam.

Don't know if they're the shape you want but M & S have normal side seams
