Self conscious about small lips but really hated lip filler

I have always had naturally really small lips, not necessarily thin but a tiny mouth. It's something I have always been really self conscious about and I have been put down over my small lips. Also in a time where so many people have huge lips, it just highlights the issue even more for me.

I had lipfiller twice and it made a little bit of a difference but I seem to metabolize fillers really quickly. Also even though my lips were numbed, I almost passed out with the pain both times.

Anyone also have small lips and find anything else that worked? I'll attach a photo of my lips

Aww thanks for your kind words everyone, has kinda made me feel a bit better. I think I just compare them to the really huge ones that so many people seem to have now

They are normal sized. Mine are smaller/thinner and I’ve never had anyone mention them to me nor do I have any hang ups about them. What area do you live in for you to feel they are tiny compared to everyone else?

Your natural lips look fantastic. I have filler and mine with filler look similar to your natural lips.

I think there’s still filler in them. You probably think they’re smaller than they were after they shrink back down after the swelling goes/over time.

I don’t see many ridiculous lips around, the trend is definitely dying down. There’s nothing wrong with them and I think you must know this really. Don’t do anything else to them and work on your self esteem instead.

They are much fuller than mine, I'd love lips like yours.

Can I ask you said you'd been put down due to your lips? Who on earth has said anything about?

This is so funny. Many of us reading your post were expecting thin lips. Yours are not thin! You've been teased and maybe that made you critical of this this part of your body? I think that's called internalising the bully. You have nice lips.

I think our perception of normal can now be distorted due to the common use of filler, and facial faffage in general.
But really, you have absolutely nothing to worry about 💋

You've got lovely plump normal lips, no need for fillers. You're lips are perfect as they are. Hard to tell from the photograph, but I'm sure they are in balance with your face as well, whereas fillers etc. make lips look odd as the face is out of balance.

It can take a little while to get used to your appearance changing, so getting used to what you look like without the filler can take a little while. I would get some lipsticks, liners or glosses and experiment with what works for you.

What works for me is thinking about the things I like about myself and/or my appearance, things I don't mind/ are ok, and things I don't like so much, and then think eg. Well I don't like my lips but I have lovely eyes. I don't like my nose but I have lovely eyebrows. I don't like my jowls, but I love my hair. Etc.

Your lips look fuller than average to be honest. I think the trend for over-full lips looks so ridiculous. Yours are just right!

Watch some vintage 1930s Hollywood movies starting actresses such as Mary Pickford and Claudette Colbert. That should help re set the standard.

If they’re your natural lips with no filler etc then they look perfectly normal and not small at all!

The trend for overplumped lips, super smooth brows and super young skin is starting to get ridiculous now!

My lips are one quarter the size of yours and I think of them as normal

Hardly any white women have huge lips naturally, that's why Angelina Jolie etc are considered so beautiful. It's absolutely not the norm. Yours look bigger than average!
