It's another "jeans" thread. Please help - I'm clueless, postnatal and have a wardrobe full of skinnies!

Mumsnetters please help me find my perfect pair of jeans.

I'm 5'1, 32 and I had a baby via c section a month ago.

My go to jeans pre section were the highly uncool skinny jeans and I've never learned how to move on, or style anything else.

Prebaby i was a size 8-10, very pear shape - thighs, bum, small waist not much boob.

Post-op and breastfeeding my shape has completely changed. The baby is slowly but surely eating my bum and thighs and I've got a definite mum tum/ swollen scar area. I'm probably a 10-12 on the bottom half to accommodate for the mumtum area but my thighs and bum are disappearing rapidly so it's a bit of an odd shape.

How do I decide which shape to go for? I don't want a properly nineties flair / bootcut and I also don't think I'm too fond of anything particularly baggy on the bum.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Your CS scar is likely to be sore for some time- mine was tender for ages and numb thereafter! I couldn't have anything over my tummy until 9 months Pp and even then, I'd quickly get bloated and have excruciating tummy aches. That could've just been me though. Like you, my body shape changed too- i went from a traditional pear shape to an upside down pear! I now mostly wear dresses and hate, absolutely hate trousers/jeans. I'd give yourself more time to heal and live in comfy clothes as much as you can- this season is a perfect excuse for that and revisit wardrobe choices in the spring.

I’d try some straight cut jeans

Your body shape will be changing, so stick with something comfortable for now.
Straight jeans are great if you are moving away from skinny jeans
