Stylist but grippy winter boots

I have to regularly walk down a long hill to pick my son up. The path is covered in leaves so is really slippy.

I'm in the market for some winter boots that are comfortable and grippy but also look vaguely stylish so I can also wear them into town for pottering about. I like dms but they're not especially grippy.

There's a US brand called Keen which does city-type boots as well as hiking/trail boots. Very warm and waterproof and with superbly grippy soles. Might not be your thing but worth a look.

Depends a bit where you live, here most wear hiking brands for the school run, but I'm not in a stylish city

@Swonderful > Have you tried the 'wintergrip' DocMartens?' I recently bought a pair of suede Chelsea boots with the wintergrips. They have a coating that protects them from salt/grit stains and a different sole to the usual. I've not yet tried them out in precarious slippy conditions, so can't comment on that. But I feel for you having to walk on a hill with lots of wet leaves; it's not just icy conditions that make walking difficult.

Sorel is good for grippy soles

Thanks for the ideas 😊
