Where to buy smart clothes for 6th Form girl

Daughter needs clothes for 6th Form Taster Day. Realised she needs smart/business attire.
We have a spare hour or two tomorrow but not sure where to go.

She wants a skirt and jacket/blazer. I'm not sure how easy it is to get a smart jacket these days.

Any tips on where to get relatively inexpensive workwear?

I am in Lincolnshire, sorry I should have said. This is the dress code for my ds's 6th form and just looked at others which are pretty much the same, apart from one which is 'trialing' black smart jeans for this year.

Students should wear a two piece business suit that can consist of:
Jacket and skirt
Jacket and dress
Jacket and tailored trousers
Where a skirt or dress is worn this should not be of jersey, bodycon or stretch style – skirts and dresses should be smart.
Where a tailored shirt is worn this should be tucked in and worn with a tie.
When a tailored shirt is not worn a smart top should be worn. Tops that are not smart:
Sweatshirts
Tops with logos
Tops that are revealing
Shoes or boots should cover the foot at the front and back. Boots may only be worn with trousers, NOT with a skirt or dress.

What a palaver. DD always wears boots with dresses, why on earth wouldn't you? Such a power trip some of these rules.

Very useful info. We were particularly having a problem finding DD a jacket with decent sized pockets (to replace the school blazer she uses as a wearable handbag!). Her 6th form has just relaxed the girls requirement from from full suits to smart dress & jacket - I think because that's how the female teachers dress.
