I don’t really contour but would like to give it a go! Just a little, nothing too OTT and quick and easy. What would you recommend pls?!

I use a Barry M contour stick ( but have used dark concealers for the same effect in the past).
Ideally you want a colour that isn't too orangey, you're looking for a neutral undertoned brown a few shades darker than your foundation.

I apply mine from the hollows under my cheekbone ( suck your cheeks in and start at the deepest bit) up towards my temple and buff in with a foundation brush. Sometimes I use fingers. Using a cream is more forgiving, I find. I then put some along my hairline and on my temples and along my jaw. Buff again.

Less is more, at least at first. You can always add more.

I use powder to set the whole thing and often add a swipe of bronzer over the top in the same place as my contour when I'm done if I want a more sculpted effect. Benefit Hoola is great as it's got a greyish cast. Also the little brush you get with it is great for getting into the hollows.

Always use blush as well, never just contour or you'll look flat .

Elf putty bronzer and it's brush. Not super dark and easy to blend.

The charlotte tilbury contour wand is good, there's probably a cheaper version somewhere

I use bperfect cosmetics Cronzer. It's a cream. If not I use a Nars powder contour. Sometimes both if I'm going out.

Lisa eldridge explains alot in this video Contouring. She advises what to look for when choosing a shade. For instance, for contouring you need to avoid shimmer so bronzers are usually not suitable.
