I am visiting New York next month. Any ideas for great beauty/style products that can't be bought in the UK please ? Or can be bought in the UK but are better value in the States.
Or recommendations of shops to visit ?Sephora is on my list.
Is there an Ulta in Manhatten ?
It's a quick trip - 2 days - as I am flying on to visit relatives in Canada.

With the exchange rate I’m not sure you’ll get bargains.

There is nothing really I wouldn't bother - make up is global now. Everything is expensive - I forgot my deodorant - was $8-12 for a bog standard can of Sure/Dove that would cost a couple of quid at home.

Brands that are relatively hard to get hold of (without lengthy shipping and high postage) such as Kosas. Best concealer I’ve ever tried.

Nothing! Just been, even american brands are more expensive than in the UK. Unless you want something really specific like the kosas concealer the PP mentioned. My dd was thinking about it but in the end decided it was not worth it.

You can purchase online from Sephora in the UK by the way. Feel Unique was bought out by Sephora.

Secret deoderant is excellent. Big tubs of ibuprofen or other pain relief is good and melatonin. Sephora and bath and body works both now in the Uk.

Stick deodorant, toothpaste with baking soda, over the counter pain medication in larger quantities. Revlon do a blurring powder in the US which is excellent and I’ve never found at home. Ordinary skin care is more readily available and cheaper.

Sephora are available in the UK but there isn’t the same range of products as in the US. I like their own brand lipgloss, cream eyeshadows and eyeshadow crayons. There is an Ulta in Manhattan, round the corner from Macy’s and opposite a Sephora. You can also get Maybelline Illegal Length mascara which I love and haven’t seen in the UK for years.

I like K-beauty and it’s not much cheaper there but buying it there you don’t have to pay shipping. Besfrens Beauty on W32nd is good, as is 0035 in Chinatown.

No 7 is way cheaper in New York than over here.

That's strange.
To me Boots is quintessentially British so I assume it will be cheaper in the UK but Boots is now owned by Walgreens, the US company so that probably explains it.
