Im sure it's obvious to most but knowing what goes with what isn't a strong point. Looking for wool coat on ebay and vinted. Just not sure of colour to go for. I'm not a fan of black coats on me. And thought camel colour coat might go nice with the boots but not sure?!

Honestly, I would say the purpose of the existence of this colour is that it goes with pretty much everything. Bright pink, emerald green, red, mustard … Camel could look very chic, brown would be wonderful and it would break the monotony of black.

In fact I defy you to find a coat colour that wouldn’t look good with those boots.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 29/10/2022 16:42

I agree with @Gruelle .
Navy?
Teal?
Charcoal?

crunchieroxks · 29/10/2022 16:42

I love those boots - have you a link pls @Lou834?

BeanyBops · 29/10/2022 16:47

Grey would be lovely, as would dark blue or green! Stunning! Personally not so sure about camel but don't take my word for it, I'm no expert.

@Gruelle @IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads thank you. I'm always a tad envious of those who just know what works! 😁 I'd love a shopping day or colour match session with someone in the know! Your advice is v helpful.

@crunchieroxks let me find the link. They are by Soloviar (used to make doc martens). I found someone half price on shop that was closing down ....not sure they still stock them but this is the shop which is closing. And the second link is Soloviar site x

Thanks@BeanyBops
I've only just found vinted! So loving that. Will search now. Maybe grey or brown!

dark green, dark grey, rich brown, tweed…

Gruelle · 29/10/2022 17:48

Actually, @Lou834 - I think the clue’s in your title. Any colour wool should be fine - I’d say oxblood goes easily with heavier, winter fabrics: tweed, velvet, crunchy wool, leather, suede. It would marry less well with a summer dress.

Shitfather · 29/10/2022 18:32

Dark green or camel. Lovely boots!

CockingASnook · 29/10/2022 18:38

I’d vote dark olive green with those boots. Navy blue and burgundy doesn’t really work and definitely not black, which drains all the colour from my face!

Watapalava · 29/10/2022 19:40

Camel

i have a similar pair and several coats and my camel coat looks the best with them

Gruelle · 29/10/2022 20:37

What has your face to do with the OP’s coat decision, @CockingASnook ? Halloween Confused

crunchieroxks · 29/10/2022 22:50

Thanks @Lou834 will take a look!
