Best Jean brand - supportive big hips small waist

Hi there!

I am looking for a nice new pair of jeans. Can anyone recommend a good brand? I have a small waist (27inch) but much bigger hips at 39 inches. I’ve tried the ASOS hourglass but they were really baggy around my legs. I am looking for something supportive but comfy. A pair to suck me in post children 😂. Haven’t bought a decent pair in years but don’t really want to spend more than £40 or £50!

GAP do a curvey range which might be worth a try. I have big hip to waist ratio and I get jeans from next, m&s, tu and recently peacocks. Peacocks ones were a surprise how decent for very cheap.

How do you feel about high waisted, retro shapes?

I have a 12 inch difference between hip and waist and after many years of avoiding trousers/jeans I now live in Freddies of Pinewood and HellBunny jeans (HB are cheaper and have a bit of stretch and FoP are proper stiff denim with no stretch at all).

@CottonSock ooh I didn’t think of GAP, next online are stocking them now so I’ll take a look 😀 I’ve tried TU but they seem too big on the legs, but think if I size down I’ll get muffin tops/ won’t get them over my hips. I did like the look of the Next slim and shape jeans. Thanks for you reply!

@TheClogLady oooh thank you, will check them out!! I like high waisted find that most comfy. I also dread wearing jeans but feel I can’t wear leggings all the time 😂 now I WFH I tend to wear them a lot more than I used to…

Most jeans in my size fall down as they are too big on the waist. French connection are my favourite for fit.

I have to buy high waisted otherwise they're uncomfortable and fall down.

M&S magic jeans and Next lift and shape are both good for hourglass and intended to hold everything in.
