If you want to that is!
Went wedding dress shopping with DD today and she finally found one that she loved and felt confident in - I am so happy for her
I wish I’d felt the same when I got married - I wanted something simple in raw silk and ended up in a very Dynasty style satin polka dot number with big shoulder pads which DM talked me into
Did you love your dress? Would it be dated now?
Mine cost £60 - DD went over budget but luckily I could afford it

Photo! I love wedding dresses. I we'd in 2008. I did and still love my dress. It was a-line, strapless, a couple of stiff layers with couple of soft chiffon as the "top" material. Ahhh am going to look at photos now.

I can’t share pic of DD or her dress obviously
My wedding album must be somewhere but I got married in the 80s and have been divorced over 20 years

I loved my dress. I also liked another but my dress suited the kind of wedding I had which was more like a party. It was a kind of boho style and I felt really comfortable and lovely in it.

i struggled with buying a wedding dress as everything was too sparkly, too many pearls, too lacy and too white. All so not me.

In the end I went for a gold silk bridesmaid dress. Was perfect for me, loved it then, love it now

my sister in law actually said that she had dreamt about my dress and it was exactly as I had on, she said she knew I wouldn’t go for a traditional wedding dress.

I'll add a pic, it's only from behind though cos I loved the back view of my dress 🤣

it was when I went to collect it before the wedding so ignore the messy hair and bra showing. I loved my dress and veil, it was exactly what I wanted after I did the big princess dress for my first wedding. I'm not doing it again though, I'm keeping this husband 🤣

I recently did prom dress shopping with my daughter and I cried at her in her prom dress so god help me when it's wedding dress shopping time!

I married in 1984 when the fashion was Lady Di way OTT styles. Mine was the simplest I could find.

I actually found a picture of one very similar by the same designer online - mine was white rather than blush.

I got married in 1991. I remember going for a fitting for my dress and returning home crying because I didn't like it. It was ok on the day itself but I can't say it was very 'me'. I went dress shopping with my mum and bridesmaids and I'm not sure they were very helpful! I've still got it, stuffed in a bag in the loft. I'm pleased to report, however, the marriage has been a greater success.
